About tinagrant1231

tinagrant1231 started this conversation

My name is Tina. I am a thirty year old married mother of two boys ages 14 and 10 from Lancaster, Ohio. My children have alot of medical problems that prevents me from being able to keep a job. I have filed for social security disability for my oldest son but was denied, which I am appealing but they say it could take another 24 months for a decision. My husband is working only part-time as a janitor and trying to pursue his life long dream as an amazing artist which we are trying to get his name out. Which would also be a blessing if anyone have any suggestions on how we can do that also. We are struggling day to day to get by, our bills are months and months behind, our rent is about due again and we are not able to pay the full amount and have a huge chance we may get evicted. I lost my father on October 8, 2008. He was my angel, my strength, and my everything. He was young and had a long life ahead of him but a tumor of the brain took him from us. My Grandmother passed away only six months later. My mother is losing her battle to bilateral breast cancer and bone cancer. She is unable to help herself, so she wouldnt be able to help us. I have nobody left that can help me, Im desperate, scared, depressed, and losing faith. I dont know where to turn or what to do. I need a miracle, and I need it fast before we are homeless. If you have any information that could help us, or a website or application sent to me to get a personal grant. Any suggestions would be very deeply appreciated. Hi Tina,

First of all, please remove your email. People can contact you directly on aidpage through private message.

I am very sorry for your loss. It is difficult losing some many so close to you in such a short period of time.

To help your immediate financial needs, try modest needs

Since 211 is NOT available in your area yet, try catholic charities, salvation army, local churches, red cross, united way I have all the national links on my free help page...

Next, apply for social services, if you haven't already done so.  Apply for foodstamps, medicaid, liheap, tanf and anything else they have to offer..check with this site to find out what benefits you may qualify for

Also while you are waiting for SSD, apply for SSI for the kids...

I found this site brave kids that lists national organizations that may help ...

Also I found a couple of pages of information at the NIH that may help:

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/financialassistance.html

and

http://www.genome.gov/11008842

As far as your husband's dream, he can easily post online for free on sites like facebook and myspace - then, add twitter ...or even youtube, for an even larger audience...
